If it’s the writing you need to protect, you will want to scan the pages inside you desire to keep and then toss the cluttering journal volumes by themselves?
We say have them. All in our 20s-30s) a box full of old letters she and my dad wrote when they were courting for Christmas this year, my mother gave each of us kids ( we’re. She included material from their senior school days and days that are early these people were married. It’s been amazing to stay and read these things and had been among the best gifts I’ve ever received. Therefore, also down the road, I’m guessing your children or your family will if you don’t have a desire to read them.
I found recommend scanning them too. You can easily have them in a tiny area, and password protected aswell.
Once I understood i did son’t wish my better half or my kiddies to ever read my old journals, we went through and read them one final time. Instead of burning them, we ripped down pages and fed them to the shredder. As every page had been ripped to bits we felt more and more free. We don’t regret getting rid of those journals. They weren’t full of pleased memories. These were more option to vent and function with pain and dilemmas.
Great suggested statements on scanning them … which may belong to the “keep” stack. Make sure to straight back them up so that you wouldn’t be devastated in the event your computer crashed!
A buddy of mine is obviously retyping up most of her old journals and scanning several pages for nostalgia. I look right straight back and have always been often horrified at the things I have written, yet in the exact same time, that ended up being my life. If you would like relive those memories, do so. Or even, simply allow them to go (or scan them and keep them in a locked room).
